Bullshit! There is no thing suck as a "GM weapon" i've played wow since beta, and this sword has been posted one year ago... Anyone can fake a GM, besides the weapon desctiption says "+ 30-50 Damage" LOL!!! gl hf btw a GM is NOT allowed to give any information about such. that's screenshotted from a private server!:)

If you have this weapon droped off Mograine one of the fourhorse men in Naxxrama's the scarlet crusaders located at Tyr's hand will not attack you and you have access to rooms in side there base that noone else has, unless they have it also. there are 6 guilds in the world currently on the Fourhorse men.

This weapon drops off Lord Mograine once leader of the Scarlet Crusade. He is now a deathnight serving Kel Thuzad and The Lich King. Ashbringer, the Blade of the Scarlet Highlord, is an object of great mystery and power.

"One of the previous Highlords of the Scarlet Crusade, Highlord Mograine was known as the Ashbringer. Archmage Timolain crafted him a sword meant to be a bane against all the undead. It (and he) were called such because when he would take to the battlefield, his frenzied blows would fell the Scourge so fast that he would be surrounded in falling ash. "

This is NOT a drop from Nefarian. It will be part of a "legendary" quest line in the upcoming 1.11 patch, aka Naxxramas, much like Thunderfury is ATM.

I think I saw Eyonix post that this weapon will not be added to the game before casters get a legendary weapon.. that's nice to hear. I do wonder what dead caster we will get it from though.. maybe it will be implemented in Naxxramas from Kel'Thuzad.

I am xil from Stormreaver, I DO NOT HAVE ASHBRINGER. If you had looked at the context of the thread in which i had posted you would know that it was about changing the graphics of items ingame. I posted that i changed my Ashkandi to Ashbringer. Please stop sending me tells I do not have it.

Just so everyone understands.

As it currently is in game. Ashbringer is most likely what Thunderfury was, back in 1.3. Nothing more than data, without a way to access it.

There are giant rumors and speculations across the official forums about it. Each of them leading to dead ends. Usually, atleast once a week, some guy show a screenshot of himself, with the MPQ of his sword, changed to that of Ashbringers.

As it stands, there is no official way to obtain it. Just a bunch of rumors and pigs with wings.

Actualy, if u look the book ''Nat Pagle's Guide to Extreme Anglin '', it say : And so that's where you'll find the legendary sword of the scarlet Highlord, Ashbringer. Ain't it amazin' what you run into in aan ordinary day of fishin ? so it means that Nat Pagle found it while fishing to somewhere Nobody already tought about going there to fish ! or something like that. I hope you guys can take advantage of this. I had the book in my bag lol and just came here for the first time to check something. Good timing i think !! so we have a proof that IT EXIST !

well ashbringer being in world of warcraft and the item being attainable are two entirely different things. though in all honesty I kinda like it not being confirmed since if it was i'd bet alot more people would start hunting for it, causing it to get found quicker.

And yes, I have heard that some people have talked to the Prince after killing Nef and even turning in the head, and nothing came of it. I figure, you need faction with them... Blizzard'll probably add some quests or something.
