Lothar was a Knight.

Edit: As for Turalyon, "It is currently unknown whether or not he and his expeditionary force survived the destruction of Draenor."

Lothar was a paladin? and turalyon was hes sergant. http://www.wowwiki.com/Turalyon It was General Turalyon that picked up Lothar's battle standard and broken sword, and rallied the army of the Alliance to victory over the Horde, eventually capturing Doomhammer, and driving the orcs back to the Dark Portal.

If it is the wpn that he had in blakcrock spire how could nefarian have it then? when Turalyon took it.

"Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood is the legendary sword of Anduin Lothar, the late Regent Lord of Azeroth and Champion of King Llane. He was killed by Orgrim Doomhammer during the closing battles in the Second War. His sword is now found in the posession of Nefarian in Blackwing Lair, presumably due to his father Neltharion's involvement in the closing on the Second War."

Obviously a Warrior Weapon... Sir Anduin Lothar of the Brotherhood himself was a warrior, it seems only fitting that it be passed down to another warrior

I'd imagine A. L does = Anduin Lothar. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Horse in WC1, which would fit with the "of the Brotherhood" bit. And in the Last Guardian novel, he decapitates Medivh with a two-handed sword.. so, could this be it?

A.L doesn't mean Arthas Lightbringer. His name is Arthas Menethil, and I don't see any A.M on the initials :P

Arthas Lightbringer?
Then it would be "Frostmourne" not "Ashkandi" i think..
