Just checked on 28th of May 2005, and the books are still floating in space. Best to drop quest for now and check after 1.5 patch.

I just checked the patch notes for 1.5 and it seems this is not being listed, however this same effect "floating above the ground" for random quest and other items in Andorhal was due to the Blizzard remake of Andorhal for the 1.4 patch, so I expect they have it fixed already. I'll check on the test realm and find out.

Book seems to be floating in the air and unattainable. Quest bugged.
