Truthfully this has been stated in almost every post in this forum. It all depends on how you play. Dont set yourself for one pet cuz youll miss out on alot of cool pets throug out the game. I say if you see a pet.. you think it looks cool, and youd like to have it.. oh yea and its tamable.. lol.. then get it.. find out which fits you best and keep it. And have FUN!! :)

P.S. Bears are my favorite.. they hold aggro well, have lots of stam and armor, come in cool colors, white, all black, black with brown around the eyes, brown, diseased brown, diseased black.. and as you lvl dont forget your pet will grow in size as it lvls.. so bears get really big :) and even bigger when you use beastial wrath and they turn red .. white bears look awesome in that mode cuz they turn pure red.
