I'm a bout to reset my talent tree... I have been shadow/ discipline, focussed on shadow but want to swith to a tri-tree build now that i am going to be grouping more for instances... Any suggestions as to how i should go about doing this? I want to be a healer but also be able to solo every once in a while. I do want my main focus to be on healing though i don't want to spend any talents on critical healing because i feel that it is pointless. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am a night elf priest btw and a profs are herb and alch.

My char is Jimbaker if anyone wants to help me in game or if anyone needs help(i'm aways willing to lend a helping hand).

I just started playing 3 weeks and 3 days ago but have already attained 40 by being primarily shadow..if that helps any newcomers. Also..get improved power word shield AS SOON AS YOU CAN :) it helps me more than anything else :)

I would suggest staying Shadow/Discipline until between 55 and 60. If you play with decent players you should be able to spend most of your time in Shadowform healing with Vampiric Embrace... then pop out every once in a while to drop a big heal or renew.

Once you start doing intermediate instances (Stratholme, Scholomance, LBRS, UBRS, DM etc) you will probably want to respect to Holy/Discipline or Discipline/Holy. Your magic-using teammates will love you if you can provide both Stamina and Spirit buffs.

I have a level 60 Priest and I have been Disc/Holy since level 10. My only regret is that I wish I would have gone Shadow/Disc up til level 40 and then respecced to Disc/Holy. I pretty much grinded instances from level 40 to 60, so I don't see any reason why you would need any shadow until you are level 60 and respec for PvP.
