Draco Doomforge had been a loner for his whole life. So he was very surprised when an older male dwarf called him over. He had been on his way to the general trader to buy the meager amount of food he ate everyday. While he walked to the dwarf he instinctively had his hands close to his beloved axe, ready to draw the weapon. The dwarf must have sensed his uneasiness because he smiled and said “aye there, don’t worry lad, I don’t bite” Draco still was cautious, but didn’t show it as much. The dwarf remarked that he didn’t have any gloves to keep warm so he told Draco to kill the local Wolves and get their meat in exchange for Wolf Handler Gloves.
Draco, very grateful for something to keep his hands warm set out to kill the wolves. When he walked down the ridge he was amazed at how many wolves there were. He shot them each 3 times with his gun and then finished them off with a move called Raptor Strike. As he killed them and collected the meat he noticed Troggs wandering everywhere. He was slightly annoyed at their presence, expecting an attack from behind at any second. When he had collected the wolf meat Draco returned to the dwarf and received his gloves. The dwarf was very pleased and bid Draco well.
The next day he had another encounter with a stranger. But this one was asking for the Troggs dead in return for a large sum (in Draco’s view) of copper. Draco would have done what the man had wanted for no fee because of his hate for the Troggs. Draco was told to kill 6 Burly Troggs and 6 Troggs. He set out to kill them and found another dwarf that called himself a “hunter.”
He was amazed at this person because they seemed so much like him, but held there head much higher than he did. He asked the dwarf if anyone could become a hunter, but he replied with “Only a select few can become true hunters, they must love the beasts and their gun.” The dwarf asked his name and was shocked when Draco told him. “Oh, you’re wanted the ____ the local Hunter Trainer. Here is a letter written by him.
Draco thanked the dwarf, and looked at the letter. As he read he was surprisingly happy that someone had noticed him for once. The letter told him to go into the city and speak with them.
He did just that and was told that he had the chance of a life-time. To explore Azeroth as a true Hunter, and help fight back the Horde, people Draco had only heard of in others conversations. He told the man that he would get back to him.
As he lay in his makeshift bed (a pile of leaves under the stars) that night he could not go to sleep. When he finally did get to sleep he had a horrible dream.
“THE HORDE ARE COMING, THE HORDE ARE COMING” battle horns were sounding and everything was in complete chaos until a renowned dwarf army leader got all the male dwarves older than 14 together and told them to get there weapons and armor. Draco, who was 13, was waken by his mother and told to run to Auberdine. He tried to ask why but was hushed out of the house. He ran and ran until he could run no more. He looked back at his hometown of Kharanos and saw great flames and heard metal clashing and loud shouts of “FOR THE KING” ‘”FOR THE HORDE”. He thought of his mother and father and cried something that he had never done before. When he was done he finished the journey through the tunnel to Auberdine and never went back. Until now. . .
