Thokk

Well, I wrote this up at work a while back when we had few customers and I was bored, but then it's been sitting on the floor of my room since, so I decided to finally getting around to typing it up. Here you go, the backstory of Thokk Skarblade, Orc Restoration Shaman.
Thokk Skarblade was born twenty-nine years ago, well after the battle of Mount Hyjal and the founding of Durotar. During his early years, he lusted for power and wealth, but no avenues seemed to grant him what he wanted. He was barely an average warrior or rogue and completely lacking in skills as a hunter. He made a relatively skilled shaman, but was annoyed with the modest and humbling way the shaman's power worked.
One day, while visiting Orgrimmar, a strange Orc with red-tinted eyes called out to him, asking for assistance. Thokk was about to blow him off when the orc revealed that he knew Thokk's dilemma, and, even better, he had a solution. The red-eyed orc took Thokk to a part of Orgrimmar he had never been to before, a place called the Cleft of Shadow. It was there that Thokk learned of the possibility of becoming a warlock. Abandoning his shamanistic training, Thokk became very well-versed in the dark arts and, in time, grew exceptionally powerful. No one could stand before Thokk's might; even demons grovelled at his whim. Thokk's only concern was that his dark magic was sometimes difficult to control, but that was a risk he was more than willing to take, considering the rewards. This came back to haunt him, however...
On a fateful day two years ago that began a series of events that changed Thokk's life, some of his childhood friends--now an accomplished warrior(named Torash), rogue(named Akago), and shaman(named Kora)--came to visit him in his opulent home in Razor Hill. Having forgotten how much he enjoyed their company(particularly that of the female shaman), he agreed to their idea to meet again, at least once every few months. Over the next few meetings, Thokk realized he was in love with Kora. He assumed that she would return his feelings, as many other women were attracted to his power and prestige, and as a fellow magic-user, she would appreciate his intellect as well. However, on their fifth meeting, Thokk was stunned when Kora announced that she and Torash were bound to become life-mates soon. Angrily, Thokk took her aside and demanded to know what that 'brainless brute' had that he didn't. Kora retorted that Torash was a brave and honorable defender of the Horde and its people, while Thokk was a selfish powermongering hedonist who had delved too deeply into the black arts. Kora stated that she was very worried for Thokk's soul, but that she still believed it could be saved if he forsook his demonic powers and returned to shamanism. To Thokk, this meant that she was jealous of his power and was doing this to spite him, and he told her so. Kora reminded Thokk of where dark magic had led the Horde before, and insisted again that he stop. This aggravated Thokk to the point where he near-literally exploded in a blast of Hellfire.
When the smoke cleared, the building had been reduced to smoldering rubble, and Kora a charred corpse. Torash pulled himself from the wreckage and, seeing the remains of his betrothed, flew into a rage and attacked Thokk, but he was no match for Thokk's dread power, and soon he too was dead. Akago tried to flee, but Thokk's enslaved demons hunted him down and slew him as well. Thokk's rampage continued until Thrall himself ordered him subdued by the most powerful shamans available--the Earthen Ring. Seeing that the spark of good still lingered in Thokk, Thrall gathered as many powerful Troll magi, Tauren druids, and other shamans as he could, and enacted a ritual that ripped the demonic power from Thokk's body.
The haze finally lifted from his eyes, Thokk realized what he had done and wept, thanking Thrall profusely for ending his rampage and saving the people. The ritual had not been without cost, for Thokk's body had been supernaturally aged nearly 50 years, causing him to appear much older than he is. Thokk told Thrall he would meditate on what to do now for a year and a day.
Today, his meditation ended.
Thokk now serves the Horde as a modest and humble shaman, dedicated to helping and healing of others. He practices cloth-working and tailoring as a form of relaxation, and uses the tiny fragments of arcane power remaining in him to power enchantments for other Horde members. Thokk is still haunted by his past, and he hopes dearly he can find a way to make peace with his slain friends before he joins them in death.
So what do you think? Any thoughts/suggestions/outbursts are welcome.
