Looks like they redid the whole map. The river from Durotar to Barrens is much smaller (widthwise), some islands have disappeared/appeared, and some places were slapped on the bottom of the map...

Uh... where is this new zone you're talking about? I don't see anything in that image that would indicate a new zone.

Look at the Silithus area, see how the area is somewhat larger on the western/southern sides?

Oh, that. I dunno, it might just be a case of misplaced islands again. Or maybe Silithus is getting a slight expansion. Isn't most of Silithus closed off to the public as it is?

Well, they aren't pink, but they do have llamas on them...

Ahn'Qiraj is the area in southern silithus, it is a square. The the arced areas are larger than what Ahn'Qiraj will take up.

Just FYI, Southern Silithus, beyond the Scarab Wall, is massive 20-man outdoor raid instance, placed roughly on the level of ZG, but below Onyx -> MC -> BWL, however, from SS, you will be able to gain access into Ahn'Qiraj, a Silithid temple, which is a 40 man raid instance, a tier above BWL.

That was all in the Battleplan, Nihil. :P And you don't *know* that the arced area is larger than what Ahn'Qiraj will take up, you're just speculating. Blizzard can make Ahn'Qiraj take up as much damn space as they want :P

In every game of WC, the map has changed. I have about seven maps of the Azeroth, and each one is different. Little things changed here and there, as well as large changes. Like IF used to be the sea, but now it's mountians and such.
