Alliance is dead?

It seems like it. Alliance topics are old, and have been necro'ed. No one seems to post here anymore, and more people switch to horde day by day. Let's try to get alliance back up.

Blizzard has taken too long, I'd be suprised if many people were left...

This is the lull before the storm, gentleman. It has been a month since PvP-RP has been officially announced, and with it, the Frozen inn. Since then, we have taken blow after blow after blow every tuesday, eagerly awaiting the new server, yet it has never come. Obviously, this has demoralized many people, who leave here, not out of dislike, but out of sheer frustration at the position blizzard has put us into.

After 1.7 is released (a few days before the server is released, if all goes according to schedule), we will see a flood of old and new faces, most especially if we start campaigning our asses off shortly before 1.7's release (as in, we need to start today or tommorow, because the patch is probably coming on tuesday, we hope), then we will undoubtedly see a surge of new membership, and several old faces go "Oh yeah! I remember them!".

As for my leaving, I'll be joining the horde to see if I get bored quickly or not. I may very well end playing until about level 15, realize I've done this a few too many times, then promptly rejoin the alliance. However at this point, im not sure about anything.

It's been over a month, I've been in school a month and I've been here for a long time before that. About three months at least, I'd say.

In any case, 1.7 can't come soon enough... I am starting to really look forward to WTFPWNing some Alliance. (I was playing my Mage, level 60 Alliance, and I discovered some of the more asshole-ic sides of the Alliance culture, long story short: Night Elves are KoS)

The long wait for the server has really been affecting our playerbase, but I think it's only temporary. Like Nihil said, once 1.7 comes out, I think we'll have a influx of players, both new and old. There's still some of us left, however, there's only so much you can talk about without having a server. We're still alive. :Sheriff:

Exactly, people have just gotten demoralized, the whole "whats the point" feeling.

Once 1.7 is out expect the forums to be jumping.

Werras/Togo, we need to make a big thread on the General forums before Tuesday, stating what we are, what we're about, etc etc. One like Raserei's original thread. After the server is released we can copy the thread over to the realm forum as well. We should be booming once again in no time.

I gotta agree with Valar here. We're already seeing a massive increase of RP/PvP realm posts on the general forums. Perhaps we should get one started for sunday and try to keep it bumped?

I'm getting really worried about the class makeup of the alliance side...we've got 5 active rogues, and a smattering of other classes. I sure hope we can recruit some different classes so we can aim to be balanced and self sufficient.
