Hi I wanted to get a talent discussion going, here's my if anyone has comments. If you post your I'll tell you what I think.

This build basically has instant cast corruption (dot) shadowburn (instant dd) and all the benefits of demonology (focuses on imp most then vw)

Here's the build I'm currently working with.

It's all about the destruction baby :D (hey, my name is Nihilist, what did you expect?!)

BTW, will edit with my opinion in a bit, in middle of class right now..

Heavy restoration spec (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/shaman/talents.html?000000000000000500020000000000000005255505055151) build, partly for RP reasons.

On the subject of talents, ever notice those background pics in the talent trees? I had never really paid attention to them, but some of them are actually pretty damn cool.

Priest Holy Build (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priests/talents.html?55003200050000025501045002151000000000000000)

Thats my build, definately not a shadow-priest.

With Thokk and Vouscha in a party, you'll make a powerful team. I don't know many shaman that go that much into restoration so it looks like it'll work: a shaman that heals :) As for vouscha your build looks good too.

And Nihilist I hear that destruction builds have the highest DPS available to a warlock.

Can't wait to hit my 4k SB crits :D :D :D

Your talents look real good...Good solo and great group potential, though I think you might be a bit lacking in the pvp department though, really, you can't have everything :P

I think I'll build something like this:
Neega's Talents (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warriors/talents.html?2032302035051000002505013300501000000000000000000000)

Im not set in stone however and will continue to learn and adjust.

I'm looking for maximum damage per swing overall.

Just a word of warning, though I haven't tried it out myself, is that a fury warrior without flurry is crap, and a arms warrior without mortal strike is crap. (Not that I WANT them to be crap, but it is the way it seems to be. If you discover otherwise I think that would be hella awesome.)

I'm going almost straight restoration until they patch in the new Druid talents; then I'll have to re-evaluate things.

Probably going to go 31/8/12 if I ever happen to get 5/8 NS pieces. If not, it'll probably be 22/8/21 for PvP or if I'm going to be doing a lot of MC, it'll be 16/25/10.

Probably something like 30/21 for leveling then respec to 22/8/21--31/8/12 depending if I get NS gear or if I PvP/PvE...(almost like Valar)

Speaking of which, Valar once we get to 60 we should like stealth around and kill aliance...2 rogues = deathsquad

That sounds like a great plan...if I ever hit 60.

I'm waiting till I hear some more about the druid changes before I decide on a build. Though I'm not sure if I want to go feral, balance, or restoration now. Awesome druid changes are comming in 1.8.

Thokk

You should totally go balance, and run around as a moonkin and /dance. :)

The druid changes in 1.8 that we've seen so far(ie, the talent changes) are great. Makes me want to roll a druid alt. Haven't decided what I'll end up doing for an alt yet though, but since I just hit 20 its getting about time for my alt sickness to crop up. We'll see what happens.

As we saw with the hunter changes... these may be preliminary. All talents are subject to change :Crunk: ... also welcome back Togos, you got some catching up to do homey.

Togo

I have a good deal of catching up to do.

Unless it has changed, we have a decent amount of priest. So, I may go feral depending on how good the changes turn out to be. If they are good enough I can either tank or dps in catform, I will go feral. If they turn out to be not quite enough, then I'll stick to restoration.

I'm waffling between totemic focus(totems cost 10% less mana at 5/5 pts) and improved healing wave(healing wave takes .5 sec less to cast at 5/5 pts). Anyone have any advice on that front? :P

Well, since I have gone rogue. I'm gonna go 21/8/22.

As a Paladin I can attest that the imp. lesser healing wave would be invaulable. In PvP or when taking hits and healing, 75% uninterruptable is the difference between a 2 second and an 8 second heal. If you also get Imp. healing wave, it takes off .5 seconds of casting time and it becomes much harder to get a spell-interrupt in on the shaman. In PvE, you'd be able to heal with adds on you easily. I can't imagine playing a Paladin or Shaman without the 70%/75% uninterruptable heals.

I'd go with both imp. healing wave talents over the reduced mana cost on totems if I had to choose, because once you hit 60 you'll keep getting more and more mana and that 10% will matter less and less, but having your heals be quick and 75% uninterruptable will always be invaulable.

Well I was already planning on getting ILHW, for exactly that reason :P And yeah, I'm going with IHW instead of Totemic Focus... had I had it last night, nobody would have died at all on our WC run(as it was, only one person died, and only once, because my healing wave was about .1 seconds too late).

I'm leaning toward Feral for 1.8, but I'm undecided on whether to go all the way to LotP, or save enough points to get to NS in Restoration, or Clearcasting in Balance... arg.

NS is invaluable on my shaman, but I'm thinking I might be able to do without it as a druid, as instacast rejuv followed by a regrowth is pretty much my bread and butter for healing so far. I only have to pull out healing touch on big bosses. And I never use wrath... instacast starfall would be nice now and then, but it's no instacast chain lightning.

If I go to clearcasting in balance that could give me some insane damage in cat form. Considering how fast cat form attacks, and every attack has a chance to induce CC... mmm.

So let's see...

Balance (12 points):
Nature's Grasp 5/5
Natural Weapons 5/5
Omen of Clarity 1/1
Imp. Entangling Roots 1/3 - 40% interrupt resist for 1 point seems well worth it

Restore (8 points):
Imp. MotW 5/5 - I hear this gets pretty nice by level 60, and if I have OoC I don't really need Furor so much... although I do shift out of cat to regrowth, then back, a lot so maybe Furor would be better. Hrm.
Nature's Focus 3/5 - 42% healing interrupt resist seems as good a place as any to drop 3 spare points

Feral (31 points):
blah
blah
blah
LotP

Whatcha think?

I'm pretty sure I'm going feral, but there is one thing I can't decide.

Do I want 15% more aggro generation.
Do I want 10rage/40energy on shift.
Do I want 10% more armor.

The problem is that I want all of them, but can only choose two of them. Most druids can get 8K armor easily enough, so thats 800 more armor. It will also increase armor in catform. It might be easier, or make it possible to tank in highend instances with the 15% aggro generation. And having 10 rage/40 energy on shift is amazing. Lets you use catform in the middle of a fight, and lets you start in bearform with a free mual, demo roar, or feral charge.

So all of these abilites are awesome. But I don't have 56 talent points. It's a hard decision to make, I'm still scratching my head about what to choose.

If you want to interrupt spellcasters in the middle of PvP, you are getting 10rage/40energy on shift talent. Bear form is instant, then hit feral charge to interrupt. Not to mention the general benefit of starting with rage/energy if you shapeshift a lot (-30% mana cost to shifting might be nice too but probably out of reach.)

And for the other I'd probably get the increased agro generataion. You forget to mention is also increases your stealth level by 15 points (3 levels) so at level 60 it'd take a level 63 to see you at the "normal" stealth-detection range. Basically, you'll tank better and when your in stealth, players will have a harder time seeing you. The armor would be nice too but I think a better strat is to kite melee players, and do whatever against casters where AC doesn't help you. I've heard of druids with 12,000 armor with the talent though, so it'll have to be your call Togos.

On a related note, can anyone who's been on the test server tell me how much Ruin and Soul Link got nerfed? Druid was a really close 2nd choice for me to play on the RP server so I might switch to Druid.
