Posted by Eyonix on the forums upcoming changes include (for those too lazy to clicky)

1. Death Coil - The cooldown on this spell has been reduced to two minutes and there will now be a short duration (3 sec), non-diminishing fear effect applied to the target. The mana cost has been increased so the spell is less efficient for purposes of DPS.

2. Pyroclasm – Now gives a chance to stun when Rain of Fire, Hellfire and Soul Fire hit the target.

3. "in patch 1.8 we’ve lowered the duration of Corruption and Curse of Agony, increasing the damage per tick."

4. "the upcoming Soul Shard bag should assist with the management factor, and allow for better item organization."

5. "Two other improvements you can expect with the next patch include the talent Bane, which will now reduce the casting time of Soul Fire and Immolation spells in addition to Shadow Bolt."

6. "The second improvement affects Intensity, which will now reduce the chance to be interrupted while casting Rain of Fire, Hellfire and Soul Fire spells. "

7. "players should be pleased to know that both the DoomGuard and Infernal are slated to see improvements upon the release of patch 1.9"

8. "It should be noted that with the next patch we've also slightly reduced the critical damage bonus of Ruin."

There ya go :)

Looking good, though notice number 8, Ruin is getting a slight nerf, which honestly may be necessary, though I'm not happy about it :P

Ravenous says....

1. looks good, but I'll have to see it in action...

2.Well, i'm pretty sure pyroclasm already did for the first two(leading me to believe WoW has some idiots working for them), though a stun of soulfire will be nice...

3. Is good, but I'd still like a low damge frequent tick DoT for preventing vanish and bandaging, etc. etc. It'd also be nice if CoA broke vanish, but eh, its not like it's supposed too, oh wait....

4.There are mods that do this, and the "farming" issue is still there, gg blizz

5.Reducing the casting time of soulfire is gr8, i'd like to see how much, bane already reduces the casting time of immolation, so i guess they are just trying to rack up the idiot points.

6.Once again, intensity already affect the first two, but all these soulfire buffs, depending on how great they are just makes a destruction build look more and more sexah.

7.About time, they are in need of it, though I'd like to see some variation of power in the two, scince they are attainede 10lvls apparat. as of now i can easily solo a doomguard, and so can a hunters pet :(, love one hour cooldowns

8. a hot topic of discussion, I don't thing this would have a big effect on DPS, that is the problem with ruin, is that it makes dmg all chunky. In pvp, big crits are great, in pve, not so great. I think with the defensive capability, depending on it's viability, this is a great balance actually. Don't get me wrong, I love a 5k soulfire crit/2k+shadowbolt, but it can be overpowered at times.... and it'd be nice to not die in boss fights...

Can't wait to see how things pan out for us locks :)

Stronger Infernal / Doomgaurd = trading imp. corruption for imp. enslave. If my Infernal could stop a rogue from ganking me I'd spec for being able to smack a rogue down once per hour :)

I just hope enslav is improved or else it'll just mean that our new more powerful pets just kill us quicker when enslave breaks.

Edit: They just nerfed the 31 point talent of my tree (Demonology) ugh... why didn't I listed to 8 patches worth of precedence that Warlocks will never get an out-right buff?
