This is a very simple codeless language module that I wrote to do syntax highlighting in BBEdit 8 and TextWrangler 2. Simply unzip the file and drop the lua_module.plist file into the ~/Library/Application Support/BBEdit/Language Modules/ folder. If you have TextWrangler, just put it in the ~/Library/Application Support/TextWrangler/Language Modules/ folder instead.

Notes:
Block comments (--[[) are handled just fine but to have the syntax coloring work for single-line comments, you must have a space after the double-hyphen. It's a limitation in how codeless modules are handled. It's either this, or I have to drop detection for block comments. Sorry.
