| Version 3.0 Notes - Released: April 04 2008 |
N/A |
Almost all changes this time around are under the hood. BattleCry has been completely rewritten from scratch to make use of new scripting features recently made available and to decrease on memory used while running BC.
BC is now split into two addons: BC_Core and BC_Editor. BC_Core is required for BC_Editor, but BC_Core can stand alone without the editor (as long as you don't intend on making changes to cries).
*** IMPORTANT ***
This new version is NOT compatible with the old version with the exception of updating your data from the old to the new. To update from old to new, simply enable both old and new and enter the game. Type: "/battlecry update" and it will update your cries to the new version. Now camp and disable and uninstall the old version so that it will not conflict with the new version.
As always, if you encounter any errors don't hesitate to let me know.

2.25
[li]Major update adding functionality for cries on events. Includes Event Finder to find out what events are triggered when certain things happen. Visit wow.levelonemagic.com for instructions and a walkthrough on adding a cry to an event.
[li]Removed 'Cry on Start' and 'Cry on Interrupt' checkboxes and replaced with one dropdown that should alleviate confusion regarding when to activate cries. Never select Start unless your action has a cast time or the cry will never be cried.
[li]Changed $nm variable to report the recipient of the spell you cast, instead of your current target. This will make macros for healing and resurrection more sensible.
[li]Added variables: $h1, $h2, $h3 to report your currently equipped main-hand, off-hand and ranged items, respectively.
[li]Added variable: $zn to report your current zone.
[li]Changed the method of selecting and executing cries so that if you have a macro that executes two actions (i.e. pick-pocket & sap) and have a cry for both, it will execute both correctly (or not execute if failed).

2.0
Due to the significant UI changes in the latest patch and my desire for a less cumbersome interface for BattleCry, I essentially rewrote the entire mod, hence the 2.0 version number.[list] Updated interface with a slightly larger window, providing room to fit everything needed in a more orderly fashion.[list] Updated interface to remove the previous limititations of number of cries, chains, custom actions, etc.[list] Significant improvement on the interface layout of cry chains.[list] New action management functions allow for adding cries to execute on action interruption.[list] Enabled the ability to add cries to Attack command. Keep in mind this will execute every time you turn your auto-attack on, whether you are in range or not. It is not fired when your auto-attack is turned on by another action, however.[list] Added cooldowns on a per-action basis. Set this number higher than 0 and no cries from that action will be executed until after the cooldown has been reached. The only exception to this are cries that are tails of chains. These should still execute, regardless of cooldown.[list] When adjusting Cry Frequency and cooldown on an action, you must now click Save in the action frame for these settings to stick.[list] Custom actions will now have all of their cries deleted immediately when the action is deleted. Be careful when deleting custom actions! |

v 1.5
# Changed the way that BattleCry interprets spell-cast start and spell-cast end. Cries will go off roughly one-half a second after a cry is finished to insure that the spell hasn't been interrupted.
# Added conditionals to cries for advanced functionality.
# Changed the variables to a uniform 3-character system.
# Added 'Ignore Frequency' button so that specified cries will ignore the frequency set to that action (especially handy when that cry also has conditions on it).
# Fixed an error that was causing crashes when line breaks were entered in the cry text. Line breaks will now cause you to say/emote multiple lines of text. |

v 1.4.1
* Fixed an error related to performing actions with no cries saved to them.
* Fixed a typo in the code that wasn't setting the default language to be Common or Orcish. Cries saved with no language selected should now default to one of these two, rather than your character race's native language. |
