| Version 1.41 Notes - Released: September 11 2006 |

Changes in 1.41
# Fixed compatibility with Confab.
Changes in 1.4
# Added version reporting features. '/cc version' will display your current version. '/cc versionquery' will request version information from other users. You will not see any version listed for people with 1.3 or earlier.
# I worked with the author of the Satellite library to fix a compatibility issue. It should make the mod work more nicely with others. As it turns out, there was a small bug in Satellite and a small, but very common bug in other mods. By themselves, they cause no issues, but the two together cause errors. |

Changes in 1.3 - Bug Fixes
# The '/cc ca' command no longer gives a nil error. It now properly displays the Usage information for the command.
# The '/cc who' command should be cleaned up. When the Channel Alerts setting is set to verbose, you will get separate results for Guild and Raid particpants. Otherwise, you will get one response per channel, making no distinction between Guild and Raid participants.
Known Issues
# The "/cc who" command is still subject to latency. If you have massive chat lag, some responses could be missed and some channel participants will not be displayed. Currently, the addon allows 1 second for who responses before displaying the results.
# There's one other thing that has been there all along and bears mentioning. If you send a very long message over Class Channels (fill up the chat window) then you will notice your message is truncated. I realize that can be annoying, but the alternative is worse: disconnection. The game will give you the boot if an addon tries to send a message it considers too long.
This is because certain information has to be sent along with your message for the recipient's addon to know that it is a Class Channels message and to know what channel it is destined for. This information plus your message can be no more than 254 characters.
That said, truncation is only an interim solution. I'm looking at a way to limit the number of characters you can enter into the chat box. Look for that in a future release. In the meantime, apply the K.I.S.S principle to your messages and you should be fine. |
| Version 1.2 (Beta) Notes - Released: September 05 2006 |

Changes in 1.2 - Lots!
# Addon was overhauled significantly to reduce conflicts with other addons.
# The chat tab menu now only shows channels you've joined. You can join additional channels with /cc Join
# You can now add or remove commands for a channel. If another addon is using a given slash command, remove it from Class Channels and provide a replacement of your choosing.
# /cc help for full details on all options including creating custom channels
# Player names are now highlighted in their appropriate class color and they interact with the mouse like in other channels.
Known Issues in 1.2
# There's a bug in the "/cc ca" command when you use it with no parameter. Use "/cc ca help" to see details on the command instead.
# The results of a /cc who command can be inaccurate due to lag. Not sure there's a way around this.
# The results of a /cc who command might be displayed oddly or with duplicate results. I'll work on cleaning that up for 1.3.
Changes in 1.1
# Removed the "ChannelSelect" setting. Class-based channels use both Raid and Guild channels. Role-based channels use Raid if available and fall back to Guild if not.
# Added 'g' and 'r' channel command prefixes to override default behavior. For instance, /druid sends over both Raid and Guild. /gdruid sends over Guild only. /rdruid sends over Raid only. Works the same for all channels. The chat box and channel headers both reflect this. If you see a [Guild Rogues] channel message then only guild members in that channel can see it.
# Added '/cc who '. The list must be spelled out and separated by spaces. If no list is provided, it will query based on your current active channels.
# Added 'joined' and 'left' notices.
# Various bug fixes.
