Version
Version 1.4 Notes - Released: June 22 2005
* Added Taxi Music! You can now set music specifically for when you ride gryphons, hippos, bats or wyverns! You can do it through the interpreter (outside of Monitoring mode, select "Defaults" and it will eventually ask if you want to change the Taxi music; in Monitoring mode, select "Taxi" to add taxi music), through the new /wowamp addtaxi command, or by editing wowamp.cfg and adding an entry under [PLAYLISTS] called DEFAULTTAXI > file.ext where file.ext is the name of your taxi music playlist!
* Updated manual
Version 1.3R2 Notes - Released: June 21 2005 N/A
* Fixed Death Check in WoWAMP Script. Death is now reported better! No more coming to life accidentally.
* Improved initialization code in WoWAMP Script. If you begin the game dead or in combat, WoWAMP will likely now detect it.
* Changed "/wowamp i" slash command to be a toggle. You can now shut off interactivity without overriding it with a playlist.
Version 1.2 Notes - Released: June 09 2005 N/A
* Added extra playlist configuration options in the Standalone .EXE Interpreter: Edit defaults, edit presets, delete presets, and delete entries.
* Improved ease-of-use through tooltips in Standalone .EXE Interpreter
* Moved the location for default music (i.e., music that plays if zone-specific music cannot be found). Both interpreters now look in [PLAYLIST] for DefaultMusic, DefaultCombat, and DefaultDeath. Backwards compatibility is maintained by checking [DEFAULT] afterwards, but using the Standalone .EXE Interpreter to edit defaults will move them to Playlists.
Version 1.1 Notes - Released: June 08 2005 N/A
* Finalized Show Song Title function. New added: transitions, alpha blending, and better positioning. This function *only* works in WoW’s 1.5.0 'Maximized Windowed' mode. You have to go to video options, select windowed mode, and then select maximized. This runs WoW in a window, but a window that has no borders and is full screen. This allowed me to have WoWAMP tell you the song title and put it on a funky OSD above your WoW window. Please read the manual for more information on this feature (section 5.a.6)
* Updated manual.
* Removed warning messages for Winamp auto-activation -- now WoWAMP will only try once to launch Winamp. If it fails, commands to Winamp will simply fail.
* Couple of bug fixe
Version 1.1 BETA (Beta) Notes - Released: June 07 2005 N/A
Experimental:
Show your Song Title in WoW!
This will only work in the new 1.5.0 "Windowed Maximized" mode.

Select "Show Song Title" in WoWAMP, press the "..." if you want to change the location (Expressed as a percentage of your screen) and then you're good to go!

Give it a shot! I'm anxious to hear how you find it!
Version 1.01 Final Notes - Released: June 05 2005 N/A
Minor bugfixes (involving track positioning, setpresets)
Version 1.0 Final (R2) Notes - Released: June 05 2005 N/A
* I uploaded a slightly older build by accident. This is the final 1.0 version.
Version 1.0 Final Notes - Released: June 05 2005 N/A
1.0 FINAL
* Completely VBScript- and CLAmp.EXE-free version of the WoWAMP Interpreter developed. Highly recommended! This allows the direct manipulation of WinAMP, a lot more user interaction (and helpful assistance for editing your configuration files), and a much happier WoWAMP experience. I have not included the code for this massive VB.NET project in this package, as I am still working on cleaning it up as well as establishing a new creative commons license for this software.
* Major additions to the manual.
* Some additional error-handling in the VB Script. Well, more like more accurate error messaging.
Version 1.0 beta (Beta) Notes - Released: May 31 2005 N/A
1.0 BETA Release
* Re-write of interpreter engine
* Frontend (thanks to Barogio, coder of the WoWPlayer addon, for the inspiration. It's a circular thing, this inspiration!)
* Support for 5 quick playlists
* Added support for Volume Up, Volume Down
* Improved error handling
* Quicker response with direct WinAMP commands
Version 0.99 (Beta) Notes - Released: May 22 2005 N/A

Yeah, well, go nuts scanning this one for spyware. It's not. But thanks for suspecting me of that.

Ahhhhh I apologize, I must have missed that in the policies from before. Thanks for the policy change, though---WoWAMP is pretty useless without .EXE files lol!

No it's not that, originally we didn't accept .exe's etc. (I obviously didn't look at it close enough). I changed that policy just a few days ago though so it's all good now :)

Sorry, Zeeg - what policy? What files should I have included originally? Thanks very much,

Ryan Black

BTW I fixed this so it includes all the files now.

I didn't take a close enough look when reviewing this and I shouldn't have actually accepted it, but it's in our policy now :)
